British pop icon M.I.A. and British progressive metal band Monuments will perform at the 14th edition of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender at Pune’s Teerth Fields from December 1st to 3rd। The annual music festival will also feature acts from a variety of genres—metal, rock, pop, hiphop, electronic, funk, and Punjabi—from around the world, including American rapper and actor YG, aka Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson।
The festival will also host a number of major concerts, including Australia-based instrumental progressive rock artist I Built The Sky, New York-based electronic duo MEMBA, and American progressive metal band Arch Echo. In addition, there will be first-time performances by Ezra Collective, recently won the Mercury Prize, Afro pioneer Romare, Tamil-Swiss artist Priya Ragu, and Antwer-based metal upstarts BEAR।
The festival will feature Indian rapper MC Stan and Big Boss 16 winner Dalher Mehndi। 90s indie rock band Euphoria will perform their long-awaited retrospective set as part of their 25th anniversary celebration।
This year's theme #ItsAMood will highlight electronic music superstars like Jai Wolf, a certified-gold producer, New Delhi duo MadStarBase, and newcomer Katoptris. The festival will present a wide variety of electronic music genres, including chill-wave, downtempo, progressive house, techno, with a touch of disco and trance। Dorwin John, The Fanculos, Corner Cafe Chronicles, Second Sight, Chirag Todi, Raj, Shia X Zero Chill, Anubha Bajaj, Frizzell D’Souza, Shreya Jain, Gauley Bhai, Lothika, and Nate08, who will perform live with his three piece band.
In a national first, the organizers not only presented an interactive video game to reveal their phase one line-up, but also announced a main stage line-up led by all-females on Day 2 and onboarded female muralist Osheen Siva for the festival design in order to encourage discussions about inclusivity in music festivals। During the festival, the organizers are also committed to implementing on-ground eco-friendly activities in order to inculcate sustainability among the audience.
